GENERAL FAQ

Q: Your pricelist is not available on your website. Why and what can we expect to pay?

A:  We do not display our pricelist on our website because it has been copied numerous times by many amateurs and our professional competition. We pride ourselves in knowing that everything we produce is original and somewhat unique. This is exactly what makes us stand out from the crowd. We do not copy other photographers/videographers pricelists and then offer it at a discounted rate.

Q: The other photographer/videographer charges only $1000 and we get the negatives, album and framed prints, 10 DVDs and master video footage? Why aren’t you doing the same?

A: We have seen some “photographers” charging $850 for Album, all negatives and 100 prints and several larger framed prints. There is nothing else to be said but Good Luck to them. I would be extremely concerned about the quality of their services and products.

Q: Can we use another photographer/ videographer during our wedding?

A:  If you book us to photograph or film your wedding then we are the exclusive professional photographers or videographers. No other professional photographer/videographer is allowed to take photos or film your event.

Q: Do you travel interstate and overseas?

A: Absolutely. We travel all over Australia and internationally.

Q: What equipment do you use?

A: PHOTOGRAPHY - We use the latest high resolution Nikon Digital SLR cameras Nikon D3. VIDEO – We use professional Panasonic P2 video cameras. Our $50000+ cameras are used when we film all of our corporate productions and tv advertising. During ceremony we also use Sony lapel radio microphones. All our productions are edited on professional state-of-the-art Avid Media Composer editing systems.

Q:Do you use backup equipment?

A: We certainly do. We use backup cameras during all of our filming and photographing. Also the footage filmed and photographs taken are backed up on several hard drives that are held at different locations.

Q: Can you please explain what types of wedding albums do you offer?

A: We offer 2 types of photographic albums. Matted Albums and Digital Magazine Albums. Matted albums are more traditional and are usually preferred by parents while Magazine albums have a more contemporary look and are preferred choice of many bridal couples.

Q: Can we upgrade our package after the booking has been made and deposit paid?

A: You can upgrade your products and services at any time after you book us, even after your wedding, once we start designing your album. This happens very often where couples want to purchase bigger album, more sides or extra prints and canvases.

Q: Can we downgrade our package after the booking has been made and deposit paid?

A: Unfortunately we do not allow for this. Your initial booking amount is the minimal amount required for us to offer you our services.

Q: What is the difference between Packages and A La Carte pricing?

A: We do not us Package pricing system at Cinecam Media. Our preferred system of pricing is A La Carte where you are able to customize your wedding to your own budget and liking by selecting items, products and services from our Menu. Packages are pre made and can be costly is you decide to change something.

Q: Do I have to book both photography and video?

A: Absolutely not. You can book photography or video or both, 99% of clients book both because there are no misunderstandings and competition between photographer and videographer who is going to get the “that shot”. We are trained and in sync. We do not have to worry is anyone going to walk into my shot and spoil everything. It might sound funny but this happens very often.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ

PRE-WEDDING

Q: What do we look for in wedding photographer?

A: Personality and quality are the most important features. Don’t get tricked fancy equipment talk etc. You must book a consult and look at their sample work. Also, make sure you are comfortable with him/her as a person. We provide a very personal service and are a big part of the whole process of organizing your wedding and more importantly your special day.

Q: When do we book Wedding Photography and Video?

A: Wedding photography and video services should be booked minimum 6 months before your wedding. Usually these services are booked straight after you book the ceremony. It is not unusual for couples to book 18 months before the wedding. We are usually booked 8 to 12 months in advance. You will struggle to book a professional less then 6 months before your wedding since we do get booked very quickly.

Q: What happens during our wedding consult?

A: During the wedding consult we get to meet you both and find out more about what you like and don’t like. Also, we discuss how is the organizing progressing and if we can help in any way. We will show you samples of our work so you can decide what you prefer. Everything will be explained to you including styles of photography, albums, DVDs, contracts and most importantly pricing.

Q: Our budget doesn’t allow for both photography and video. What do we do?

A: We highly recommend that you decide which service is more important to you, photography or video and than book it. The biggest mistake in our opinion would be to split the budget and try to have both. Professionals cost more than amateurs. It is a fact of life. I hate to use a cliché such as “You get what you pay for” but in this case it is very true. I believe that you are better of having one service done professionally than having both done by an amateur. After all it is the most important day in your life, there are no re-shoots.

Q: Can we negotiate the pricing of your services? Can you give us a better price if we pay cash?

A: We do not negotiate pricing. The cost of our products and services is locked. Please do not get upset at us but we are not Clive Peters or Harvey Norman.

Q: Do you have a service agreement that we need to sign?

A: Certainly. By booking Cinecam Media you are required to sign a service agreement. We will take you through each point in the agreements so you fully understand it before signing.

Q: We do not want surprises and new charges after the wedding. Can you explain possible hidden costs and charges?

A: We absolutely do not have any hidden cost and charges. During consult we will explain everything to the last detail. All charges and fees are part of the Service Agreement and are outlined in details so you know exactly what you are receiving and how much will it cost.

Q: Once we decide to book, what happens next? What do you need from us?

A: After you decide to book Cinecam Media we will need a 20% deposit to secure your day. All forms and Agreements will have to be filled out and signed. After the deposit has been paid we will confirm you booking via email and also by writing you directly.

Q: What about the payment schedule?

A: We can offer our clients a TakeHome Laybay service or installment payments depending on the total value of your purchases.

Q: Who will be photographing my wedding?

A: Your wedding will be photographed by Iggy, the owner and principal photographer/cinematographer. We do not hire contract photographers. The only extra person on the day will be Iggy’s assistant.

A: We do offer FREE pre-wedding engagement session. After the session we will scout for some possible locations for your wedding photoshoot.

Q: But there is a 2 hour gap during the day that we do not need you to take photos or film. Do we still have to pay you?

A: Yes you do. Once you book us for a chosen number of hours, we are reserved for that time and cannot attend other assignments. We do not make bookings during this time as it is impossible for us to attend several assignments in one day and all happening at the same time.

Q: Is there a travel charge?

A: There is no travel charge for Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba. Any other areas in Australia or overseas will incur traveling charges.

Q: Key Shot List?

A: We encourage our brides to scrapbook their favorite photographs. Cut them out of magazines and stick them in your visual diary. Why? This way we can have a better understanding of you like and your favorite photographic style.

Q: “I am worried about certain parts of my body how it will show in the photos?” or “I am not happy with how I look?” or “I think I look bad in photos’? Can you fix it or retouch it in your computer?

A: We can fix many things with the availability of today’s technology. We would highly recommend that you discuss any concerns you might have with Iggy first. Usually we do not need to do a lot in Photoshop but instead can use special lighting or posing techniques to minimize the unwanted effect.

Q: What is the advantage of booking both photography and video with Cinecam Media?

A: Both the photographer and videographer are in sync. They know where to stand and what to do so they do not end up in each other shots. There is simply no competition for the best shot here. They both end up with what they want and also help each other during the day to achieve the best possible results.

Q: What if it rains during our photoshoot?

A: Absolutely. We do not mind. But we must stress that we do not allow anyone to take shots during the locations photoshoot or our early session with the bride.

Q: How many locations we use for our photoshoot?

A: Because you will be limited with time Iggy would suggest maximum 2 locations. If you can dedicate more than 90 minutes for your location photoshoot that more locations can be added.

A: Proofs are non-printable low resolution watermarked versions of you photographs. They are used for previews only so you can make your selection of photographs to be placed in the album.

WEDDING VIDEO FAQ

Q: Do you do the pre-wedding interviews?

A: We do but this is an optional service. For pricing please contact us.

Q: Why should I have my wedding professionally videoed?

A: These are the memories that you will cherish for the rest of your life. Food gets eaten, decorations are taken away, and your guests leave. Photography and video is the only thing left to remind you of your wedding day.

Q: How many video cameras are used to film our wedding?

A: We can film your wedding with one or multiple cameras.

Q: Do you film guest interviews?

A: Yes we do. This service is free of charge but must be requested before the wedding. You also must allocate one of your friends, family members or MC to interview the guests.

Q: What is your preferred style of filming?

A: Video is very different from photography. We do not have much contact with the bride and groom during the day while filming. Majority of the time they don’t even notice that we are there. People do not like the video camera in their face. This is a documentary program and we apply our very unobtrusive approach while still capturing the whole day and all the very important details.

Q: Do you use video lights?

A: Our cameras are very sensitive to light and we rarely use video lights. Professional Panasonic P2 video cameras that we use cost $50000+.

Q: I do not feel comfortable in front of camera. What do I do?

A: Iggy's preferred style of wedding photo journalism. This style uses minimum or none posing during your wedding day. It allows us to capture most natural and beautiful moments; real laughs and real emotions. Pre-wedding engagement shoot will be organized before your wedding so you can get a feeling about how it is done and discuss your concerns with Iggy. We are certain that you will enjoy this experience as Iggy is excellent at making people very relaxed and comfortable.

Q: Do you use radio microphones for the ceremony?

A: Yes. The groom is fitted with a little lapel radio mic.

Q: Our friend has a camcorder; perhaps they'd be happy to do our wedding video as a gift?

A: You have to choose whether you want the wedding filmed professionally or by an amateur. What you get is What you pay for. We get many calls from brides enquiring can we "FIX" the mistakes done by amateurs. Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life; do you really want to risk and let an amateur handle such an important event?

Q: How can we insure the best video quality?

A: As mentioned before we film with one of the best cameras on the market. The video footage produced is of superb quality.

Q: Does the DVD include a chapter selection menu?

A: Yes. Your DVD will be custom designed is subject to your approval.

Q: How long before I receive the completed DVDs?

A: You can wait up to 6 months depending on the wedding season, peak or off peak. 90% of the time we will finish both albums and DVD within 3 months.
